We went to the Warren Buffet/Berkshire Hathaway stockholder meeting this year in Omaha, Nebraska. His rule number one is: "Don't loose Money". His rule number two is: "See rule number one". Good advise in any type of business.
Now is a good time to take a look at your costs and even ask the employees how you can cut overhead costs without sacrificing service to your customers. One thing to look at is your shoplifting losses. Some companies think that 6 to 10% is acceptable while others invest in security devices that get them down to 1 to 2% (this difference can mean a lot of money in your pocket).

TruTV reality show: "Caught Red Handed"
"Caught Red Handed" on TruTV Sundays at 1:00 pm eastern time zone is a reality show where loss prevention teams follow shoplifters and catch them red handed. Watching the show's video clips may be a good way to learn to think like a shoplifter and know what to watch for. This reality TV show started in 2012 and looks interesting for anyone with a small store. Some of these clips may be helpful in instructing your employees what to watch for.
Value vs Price: The big debate
There has been some questions regarding inexpensive E.A.S. equipment on the internet. Most of this equipment is made in China. We even bought some of the imported equipment to test it. We were very disappointed in the quality. You can always find something cheap out there... but we are getting calls from companies that have tried that and the tower's electronics die withing a year or so. At Sensortags Inc., we only sell quality products with a warranty and tech support. "Price is what you pay. Value is what you get." according to Warren Buffet.
We have had quality systems installed for 15 years or more! We also carry replacement parts and can revive older models to keep your system working for a long time, even if your electronics go out. Our tech support is FREE for 5 years if you purchased your security tower from us. Many companies charge $250 an hour with a 3 hour minimum. Sensortags.com is a real American value!
1. Shoplifters will work in pairs or teams. One will distract the cashier while the other steals merchandise. Watch out for overly friendly customers who are distracting your cashiers.
Free Ink Tags for first 5 callers
Due to the installation of all new internet and phone systems our newsletter this month covers May and June. Please note new emails and new phone numbers due to the changeover. We are still in the same location so no address changes.
New lines & new internet are up and running. Sorry for any delays during the transition.

Stop False Alarms
Open loops of wire cause most systems to false alarm. Be sure to gather any extra electrical cord and zip tie or tape it tight in a bundle with no open loops. Usually, securing it in the middle and also on both ends is good. Even open loops of wire on the wall or on the floor from some other piece of equipment can cause it to false alarm. Also, watch for vertical wires. These systems do not like a vertical wire within 3 feet of them. They also do not like extention cords. Plug your tower straight into an outlet.
Sensormatic Tag Special
Sensortags Inc. just got in a closeout on 58 Khz grey pencil tags. We normally sell them for $.50 each. Now, they are only .29 each while supplies last. The case pack is 1000 tags with pins. This tag uses a magnetic remover that we carry also. It is $50. Please call today for this special 812-201-5900. (These tags do not ring checkpoint 8.2 mhz towers.)
