Too Close to the Door Means False Alarms

Ebony 1 too close to door too close to power supply

Always keep Radio Frequency towers 18 to 24 inches away from the door frame. The first picture shows how a tower can be accidentally pushed up against the door frame. This happens sometimes when the cleaning people move it to mop the floor and do not put it back. A good way to mark where it goes on the floor is to put masking tape under the baseplate so if it is moved the masking tape shows.

The second picture shows the towers at a distance from the doors. If the amount of space is too much, then you can block the shoplifter with a chain from the wall to the tower or a nice fica bush (as long as the pot is not metal).

Power supply, vertical wires and other heavy metal objects, should be kept at least 3 feet from the tower to avoid false alarms.

Also if you have tags too close to the wire that leads to the power supply or near the power supply itself, that can also cause random false alarms.
