Our shoe store kit puts everything for one entrance in one box: a tower pair, mini tags, pin lanyards for laces and eyelets, labels for boxed items, two detachers and a deactivation pad.

Refills and extras for shoe stores

How to tag shoes

  • Lanyards through the laces or an eyelet. Loop a pin lanyard through the laces or an eyelet and lock its pin into a mini tag, so leather and suede are never punctured.
  • 19 mm pins for thicker spots. The kit's mini tags come with 19 mm pins, longer than the standard 16 mm, which helps with thicker spots like shoe eyelets.
  • Labels for everything boxed. Put a label on boxed pairs, insoles, polish and other accessories. The labels double as price or inventory labels and are switched off at checkout on the deactivation pad.
  • Tags come off at the register with the magnetic detachers. The kit has two, so you keep selling if one goes missing.

How wide an entrance does the kit cover?

One door 3 to 4 feet wide. For a wider entrance or more than one door, ask for a free quote and we'll put together the right system.

Which technology is it?

8.2 MHz RF, the frequency Checkpoint systems use. If your store already uses 8.2 MHz tags or labels, they are the same technology as these towers. Refills are in Checkpoint-compatible supplies. Not sure what you have? Read AM vs RF.

Do I have to drill the floor?

Not necessarily. Ask us about a no-drill base plate.

What should I know before installing?

Keep metal at least 3 feet away from the towers, and use a dedicated outlet or breaker for the best performance. The kit includes the installation manual and a tuning tool, and we help you set it up by phone.
