If you are renting video tapes, you need a non-deactivatable label system
in 9.5 MHz. This is also referred to as a "pass around" system.
The customer never enters your store with a video tape as it is dropped in
the return slot before he enters between these pillars. The customer

If your budget is very limited you can use previously owned security tags
that do not ring any of the current security systems, but will deter theft.
These tags come in kits of 2000 tags with a detacher for as little as $200.

If you have no security budget then maybe fake security pillars and tags
are within your budget. Obviously this is not going to let you know when
someone is stealing from you, but it will deter somewhat the casual
shoplifters by making them believe they will get caught. Paint them to
